NICK BLACKWELL v CHRIS EUBANK Jr.: BETTING PREVIEW

Nick Blackwell enters this fight with a 19-3-1 record, including 8KO’s. He will be making the third defence of the British title, which he won in impressive fashion by stopping John Ryder a year ago. Blackwell has won his last four fights and is coming off a November win over Jack Arnfield. His three defeats have come against Martin Murray, Billy Joe-Saunders and Max Bursak – all top-level fighters.

Blackwell is a gritty fighter who may not have the pure boxing skills as Eubank. He likes to be aggressive and keep pressure on his opponent with a variety of constant punches. The concern with Blackwell is that he doesn't take care to defend and avoid opponents' punches.

Chris Eubank Jr enters this fight with a 21-1 record that includes 16 knockouts. He has bounced back his split decision defeat at the hands of Billy Joe Saunders by winning his last three fights via stoppage. He was impressive last time out in December beating the always dangerous Gary O’Sullivan, forcing a stoppage in the 7th round. Prior to that, he beat Dmitry Chudinov and Tony Jeter by KO after suffering a split decision defeat at the hands of Billy Joe Saunders.

Eubank Jr is a fighter with impressive explosiveness, he has very quick hands and packs some power behind his punches as well. The concern with Eubank is that he gets lazy at times and sometimes not put away a fight when he should have. Furthermore, he doesn’t really use a jab that much.
