BARCELONA v VALENCIA BETTING PREVIEW
Following their 2-1 success over Atletico Madrid last Saturday, Barcelona have now gone 26 games unbeaten in all competitions. After getting off to an inauspicious start to 2016 with a goalless draw against city rivals, RCD Espanyol, the Blaugrana have gone on to win each of their last eight matches, averaging over three goals. Last time out in the cup the Catalans progressed by virtue of a 5-2 aggregate win over Athletic Bilbao.
Coach Luis Enrique had his entire squad at his disposal with the exception of long term injury victim Rafinha. Marc-Andre ter Stegen will start in goal, and the fearsome trident of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez will lead the line. No major changes should be expected from the side that defeated Atletico last time out.
Valencia come into this match gon the back of a disappointing defeat at home to Sporting Gijón. Alvaro Negredo spurned a host of glorious chances to score before conceding early in the second half and failing to react as the game wore on. They now find themselves just five points above the drop zone.
Los Che boss Gary Neville, who is yet to win a game in La Liga since taking over in December, could give debuts to his winter transfer window acquisitions, Guilherme Siqueira and Denis Cheryshev. Paco Alcácer is out through injury while midfielders Enzo Pérez and Javi Fuego are both doubtful. Alvaro Negredo is set to lead the line while centre-back Aymen Abdennour has been rested.
