ARSENAL vs WEST BROM BETTING PREVIEW
Since losing 1-0 to Stoke City and 4-0 to Liverpool back in August, Arsenal have got back on track with home wins in three different competitions against Bournemouth (Premier League), Cologne (Europa League) and Doncaster (Carabao Cup). The Gunners have won their last six matches at home to West Brom, keeping 5 clean sheets in the process, but suffered a 3-1 defeat in the last direct match at the Hawthorns.
Danny Welbeck is out until after the international break due to a groin injury and should be replaced by Alexis Sanchez. Mesut Ozil is set to return to team training by Friday at the latest, and may earn a recall at the expense of Alex Iwobi while Alexandre Lacazette and Olivier Giroud are in contention for a starting berth as central forward. Changes appear unlikely elsewhere, with Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal appearing probable starters in the back three, Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac as wing-backs. Calum Chambers and Theo Walcott suffered injuries in midweek's game, which might rule both out.
West Brom rrive at the Emirates on the back of a League Cup defeat at the hands of Man City in midweek, while their recent Premier League form has seen them collecting just two points in the last three outings (0-0 against West Ham and 1-1 against Stoke, both at home). They are without a win in their last four matches in all competitions, losing three times.
Tony Pulis has a number of injury concerns in midfield as Chris Brunt, Oliver Burke, Nacer Chadli and Jake Livermore are all doubtful. Grzegorz Krychowiak and Gareth Barry should form the starting par in the middle of the park. Matt Phillips should continue on the right, while Jay Rodriguez should retain his start, either as the lone striker, or on the left wing. Gareth McAuley made his first appearance of the season on Wednesday and could replace Ahmed Hegazy as centre back.
