ARSENAL v MANCHESTER CITY BETTING PREVIEW
Arsenal currently sit in 6th position and are dangerously out of form. There are massive question marks hanging over Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger following the crashing out of the Champions League and the top four in the Premier League. The Gunners are in freefall with four league defeats in their last five league games and their two most recent victories coming against non-league Sutton and Lincoln in the FA Cup. However, they have won six of their last seven Premier League home matches. In terms of direct matches, Arsenal have lost just one of 19 previous home Premier League games against Manchester City (W12 D6).Arsene Wenger will be without Petr Cech and Lucas Perez, but Kieran Gibbs may come back into contention after missing last time out. David Ospina will start in goal while Nacho Monreal, Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi and Hector Bellerin should form the back four. Mesut Ozil played 29 minutes for Germany on Sunday and will push for a starting spot while Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck are in contention for the lone striker berth. Santi Cazorla and Mathieu Debuchy both remain sidelined.
Manchester City are in third place in the league, unbeaten in their last six games, but have drawn the last two. The Citizens played out a thrilling 1-1 draw with Liverpool in their last game before the international break, a result that left Guardiola's men 12 points behind Chelsea. City, who are unbeaten in eight Premier League matches, won 2-1 when the two sides met in the reverse fixture in December and have kept clean sheets in six of their last seven away games.
Bacary Sagna, Pablo Zabaleta and Kevin de Bruyne are all fit to play meaning that Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus are the only sidelined players. Fernandinho may continue at full-back while Yaya Tourè is expected to start as midfield base in a 4-1-4-1 formation with Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Leroy Sane the probable starters in the offensive midfield positions. Sergio Aguero should spearhead the City attack, after playing less than 100 minutes for Argentina over the international break, with Nolito and Kelechi Iheanacho providing further options.
