ARSENAL vs BRIGHTON BETTING PREVIEW

Arsenal enter this match on the back of three consecutive wins after the goalless draw at Chelsea two weeks ago. Midweek saw them beat BATE 4-2 away from home in their Europa League group stage match, following on from their comfortable 2-0 win over West Brom on Monday. They have a 100% winning record in Europa League after two matches but already have a 6 points gap from the Manchester duo in Premier League. Furthermore, Wenger’s men are unbeaten in home matches this season and have a 100%-win record from 5 matches played in all competitions so far.

Arsene Wenger will be without Mesut Ozil, while Laurent Koscielny will have a fitness test on Saturday. Danny Welbeck may recover from a groin strain in time but Aaron Ramsey is expected again to join Alexis Sanchez in the advanced midfield positions behind the lone striker Alexandre Lacazette, leaving Mohamed Elneny alongside Granit Xhaka in central midfield. Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac look set to continue as wing-backs in the 3-4-2-1 formation. Francis Coquelin, Calum Chambers and Santi Cazorla are all long-term injuries.

Brighton will have gained confidence from last weekend’s 1-0 home win over Newcastle - their second win of the season. That result lifted them in 7th position in the Premier League standings. Anyway, the Seagulls have a poor away record so far. They have already lost at Leicester and Bournemouth, with their only point on the road coming in a 0-0 draw at Watford. They managed to score just once in five matches on the road so far.

Chris Hughton has lost his main goalscorer Tomer Hemed, who has been handed a three-match suspension for violent conduct. With Glenn Murray not fully fit due to a nagging ankle injury, Izzy Brown could be used as a “false nine,” with Jamie Murphy potentially another option. Pascal Gross is likely to play in the central support role in the usual 4-4-1-1 formation. No changes are expected in midfield and defense. Steve Sidwell is out with a back problem, Sam Baldock and Biram Kayal will also miss out.
