Stage 6 of the 2016 Tour de France makes its way from Arpajon to the finishing town of Montauban, a journey of 190.5 km. It's the turn of the sprinters again, although the parcours is not as straightforward as the flat finish might suggest. TOUR DE FRANCE STAGE 6 BETTING PREVIEW

Stage 5 went to a long shot and we made a huge profit as we backed Greg Van Avermaet to win at 33/1.

Stage 6 starts hilly and ends fairly flat. We expect an early breakaway and sprinters’ teams to reeling in any remaining escapees before the line.

The usual triumvirate of Kittel, Greipel and Cavendish are the top 3 in the winner market for Thursday's stage.

Mark Cavendish will be hoping to make it three wins in the race to date, after his wins on the opening day, and Stage 3.

Marcel Kittel had his confidence restored after his Stage 4 win, altough he only won that by a whisker from Bryan Coquard. He may have been beaten by Cavendish in stage 1 but he was let down by his lead out train and spent far too long with his nose into the wind. He is probable the fastest sprinter but Etixx-QuickStep still don’t have the power of Lotto Soudal and they have to come from behind.

Andre Greipel committed himself too early on Tuesday's sprint. The German still has the best train, he usually gets better when the racing gets harder so he should benefit from today’s tough stage.

Bryan Coquard has been consistently well placed in all the sprints and probably would have beaten Kittel on Stage 4 with a little more experience. We might see the Franchman on the podium once again!

Peter Sagan has won the uphill sprint and he will have a much smaller chance in a power sprint like this. Anyway, the Slovakian is always a good option for a top 5 place or a podium.

Dylan Groenewegen is the fifth fastest rider in the field but the inexperienced sprinter has been unable to stay with his teammates train.

Alexander Kristoff finally had a good lead-out in Stage 4 and could be in the mix as well as Edward Theuns who has two fifth places so far.

Dan McLay had top-10 finishes in each of the Tour’s three field sprints so far but we don't expect him to be a contender for the podium. The same applies for another two good sprinters: Sondre Holst Enger and Christophe Laporte.

In case of winning breakaways Tony Martin, Jasper Stuyven and Jan Bakelandts could be the right names.

Edvald Boasson Hagen, Michael Matthews and John Degenkolb have few chances in a bunch sprint and could also try to escape.
