They sit 2nd in the Serie A standings, level on points with reigning champions AC Milan and two points shy of table toppers Atalanta. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored his fourth Serie A goal of the season, while the other new signing Kim Min-jae scored his second header of the season from a corner-kick. Luciano Spalletti's men are playing brilliant football after an impressive summer recruiting campaign.

Injuries have hindered Liverpool during the first month of the season. The Reds have won just two of their opening six domestic fixtures and currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, already six points behind current leaders Arsenal at this early stage. Jurgen Klopp's men have failed to win any of their three away games in the top flight thus far, including in last Saturday's Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park (0-0). Furthermore, they failed to score in all three visit to the Stadio Diego Maradona in Naples (last time in the 2019-20 Champions League group stage).

As to the lone striker, Viktor Osimhen is not 100% fit and could be replaced by Giovanni Simeone or Giacomo Raspadori.
