Manchester UTD v Tottenham betting preview
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been tipped as the next manager to be sackedManchester United were held to a 2-2 draw at home against struggling Aston Villa on Sunday. A result that means that United have recorded just 10 points from their last nine outings in the Premier League. And that followed on from their defeat at Astana and draw against Sheffield United last weekend to take them into December in awful shape. The Red Devils only managed to win four out of 14 league games this season and currently sit 9th in the table. They have only kept two clean sheets in their last 11 games and both of those came against Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League. At home, United are unbeaten since Crystal Palace turned them over in August, a run which has seen them take points off the top two (W2, D3).
Paul Pogba was ruled out of Gameweek 15 on Tuesday morning ans Brazilian midfielder Fred is expcted to join Scott McTominay in midfield. Andreas Pereira could be freed up to return to the number ten role, where Juan Mata failed to make much of an impression on Sunday. Daniel James and Marcus Rashford are likely to flank Anthony Martial up front. In defense, Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo and Diogo Dalot are sidelined, meaning that Ashley Young and Aaron Wan-Bissaka should be the starting full backs, with Viktor Lindelof and Harry Maguire paired at the heart of the back. Luke Shaw and the youngster Brandon Williams are other options for a start at left-back.
Mourinho has began his reign at Tottenham with three successive victoriesTottenham have looked reinvigorated since Josè Mourinho took charge, winning their first three games under the Portuguese in entertaining fashion: 3-2 at West Ham, 4-2 and 3-2 at home over Olympiacos and Bournemouth respectively. Certain players like Dele Alli look reborn under the new coach. Anyway, Spurs are only two points ahead of their opponents. Like United, they struggle defensively in the Premier League with no clean sheets since September against Crystal Palace. These two clubs last met in January as United recorded a 1-0 win at Wembley Stadium courtesy of a goal from Rashford.
Josè Mourinho's main selection headaches look to be at left-back where Jan vertonghen is likely to feature from the off. Eric Dier has started all three Spurs matches under his new boss and should retain his berth, with Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Winks competing to join him in the middle of the park. Moussa Sissoko and Lucas Moura are in competition for a place as right winger while Dele Alli and Son Heung Min looks sure to start in the offensive midifield trio behind the lone striker Harry Kane. The likes of Ben Davies, Erik Lamela, Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm are all out through injury.
