MANCHESTER CITY v CRYSTAL PALACE BETTING PREVIEW
Manchester City enter this match on the back of two consecutive draws - 0:0 at home in the Manchester Derby before having to come from behind twice to share a 2-2 stalemate against relegation-threatened Middlesbrough. The Citizens are performing very well on their travels but they have only won eight of their 16 league fixtures at the Etihad – drawing seven times in the process. Man City have six wins on the trot against the Eagles. This includes both of the matches at Selhurst Park in this season - 1:2 in Premier League and 0:3 in FA Cup.Sergio Aguero will miss this weekend's action after suffering a leg injury but the Argentine could be able to return for the home clash with Leicester City. Kevin De Bruyne will operate in the No 10 role behind Gabriel Jesus while Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling looks set to earn recalls out wide. Elsewhere, David Silva and John Stones have been ruled out, joining Claudio Bravo and Ilkay Gundogan on the sidelines. Vincent Kompany and Nicolas Otamendi look set to start in central defence, with Jesus Navas and Gael Clichy perhaps operating in the full-back positions.
Crystal Palace have recently enjoyed 2-1 wins away to both Chelsea and Liverpool and also won 3-0 at home to Arsenal in climbing out of relegation trouble. The last couple of games, though, have been fairly underwhelming. Palace were not able to contain Tottenham at Selhurst Park and then put in a poor performance when losing at the hands of Burnley last time out. A total of 38 points has left Palace in 16th position in the table – six points clear of 18th-placed Swansea City approaching the final weeks of the campaign.
Yohan Cabaye has been ruled out due to a knock. As a result James McArthur looks set to retain a starting role alongside Luka Milivojevic and Jason Puncheon in central midfield. Connor Wickham, Scott Dann, James Tomkins, Loic Remy and Mamadou Sakho are all out through injury. Christian Benteke may again be flanked by Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha up front. The likes of Joel Ward, Martin Kelly, Damien Delaney and Patrick van Aanholt are expected to keep their places in the back four.
