Pressure is on Pep Guardiola to finally deliver in the Champions League for City

Manchester City qualified for the Last-8 stage with a convincing two-legged win over Real Madrid. The 2-1 victory over the Galacticos last week means that the Citizens have won 6 of their last 7 outings, with their sole defeat against Arsenal (2-0) in the FA Cup final. Pep Guardiola's men will aim to lift the famous trophy after finishing second in the Premier League and exiting the FA Cup at the semi-final stage.

The Premier League side is still without Sergio Aguero, meaning Gabriel Jesus will spearhead the attack, flanked by Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez, who should get the nod over Bernardo Silva. In defense, Benjamin Mendy is back from suspension, though Guardiola may well opt to stick with Joao Cancelo with Aymeric Laporte and Fernandinho forming the centre-back pair. New signings Ferran Torres and Nathan Ake will be available next season.

Lyon looked a little rusty against Juve last time out

Lyon surprisingly knocked out Juventus although losing 2-1 in Turin. The French outfit won the first leg 1-0 in France last March. They team finished a disappointing seventh in the curtailed French season. Furthermore, Lyon fell in the semifinals of the Coupe de France, and fell in the final of the Coupe de la Ligue (on penalties against PSG). Les Gones caused City problems in the Champions League group stages just last season beating the Citizens 2-1 at Etihad and drawing at home 2-2.

Moussa Dembele was surprisingly dropped against Juventus last week but is expected to start in attack alongside Memphis Depay. The likes of Maxwel Cornet and Leo Dubois will start as wing-backs with highly-rated Houssem Aouar, Bruno Guimaraes and Maxence Caqueret playing in the middle of the park. Former Man City defendere Jason Denayer will form the three-man backline alongside Marcelo and Marçal. Youssouf Kone is the only injury concern for the French side.
