MANCHESTER UTD vs CSKA MOSCOW BETTING PREVIEW 

After a disappointing defeat in Basel last time out, Man UTD need at least a point from this clash to qualify as group winners. Anyway, they are almost sure to play in Champions League next February, as CSKA Moscow would have to win by 7  goals and Basel would have to beat Benfica in order for the Red Devils to finish third. In the reverse fixture, Mourinho's men recorded a 4-1 win in Moscow. As to the Premier League, Manchester UTD have recorded three consecutive wins, the most recent of which was a 3-1 triumph over Premier League rivals Arsenal 3-1 at the weekend. They sit 2nd in the leagues standings, 8 points shy of city rivals Man City.

Mourinho confirmed in his press conference on Monday that Nemanja Matic, David De Gea, Marouane Fellaini, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Michael Carrick would not be involved. With a Manchester derby on the horizon, the Portuguese manager is expected to rest and rotate his squad here. He will be sweating on the fitness of Phil Jones, after his thigh injury was aggravated while on international duty for England. Anyway, Paul Pogba will feature from the off, given he is banned in Premier League. Marcus Rashford is likely to replace Anthony Martial, while Juan Mata and Henrikh Mhkitaryan will have a chance to impress Mourinho. Sergio Romero, Luke Shaw, Daley Blind, Matteo Darmian and Scott McTominay are other players looking for a start.



CSKA Moscow, who are unbeaten in their last six games in all competitions, sit third in Champions League Group A and must pick up more points than Basel, who go to Benfica, if they are to qualify for the knockout round. The Russia outfit have won both of their previous two Champions League away matches in the group and could not be understimated. Viktor Goncharenko’s side warmed up for Tuesday's trip to Old Trafford with a 6-0 win over Tosno in the Russian Premier League and are currently third in the league, seven points behind leaders Lokomotiv Moscow.

Brazilian forward and top club goalscorer Vitinho will be partnered by Timur Zhamaletdinov up front, with Russian international Sergey Golovin playing in the number ten role. Alan Dzagoev returned on Saturday after a long spell on the sidelines and will start in midfield, alongside Mario Fernandes, Kirill Nababkin and Konstantin Kuchaev. The likes of Bibras Natkho and Pontus Wernbloom are suspended while Aleksei Berezutski, Georgi Milanov and Georgy Schennikov are out through injury.
