JUVENTUS v PORTO BETTING PREVIEW
Juventus won the first leg 2-0 and as a result are in a commanding to position to make it through to the quarters. Marko Pjaca and Dani Alves scored for the Old Lady in a match which saw Porto reduced to 10 men in the 27th minute after Alex Telles was sent-off. Since then, the 'Old Lady' recorded a 1-1 draw agaisnt Udinese and three wins, including against Napoli in the Coppa Italia and at home to Milan in the league last time out courtesy of a 97th minute penalty scored by Paulo Dybala. Massimiliano Allegri’s side had won 17 of their 19 matches this season at the Juventus Stadium and boast a 31 match winning streak at home in Serie A! They have never been knocked out of a UEFA competition after winning the first leg away from home.
Giorgio Chiellini missed the game with AC Milan on Friday in Serie A with a muscle problem, and Allegri will be hopeful of calling upon him again. Anyway, Mehdi Benatia and Andrea Barzagli are ready to replace the Italian international and partner Leonardo Bonucci as centre-back. Stefano Sturaro is the only confirmed absentee for the Bianconeri. Mario Mandzukic and Juan Cuadrado should return to the first team fold after missing Friday's match.
Porto registered back-to-back emphatic wins in the Portuguese Primeira Liga recently when they thrashed Nacional 7-0 at home before last weekend’s 4-0 romp away at Arouca. Anyway, the Portuguese outfit have recorded mixed results away from home in this competition. For instance, theydrew a blank at Leicester, and dug out a 0-0 draw at Copenhagen earlier in the season. Anyway, the Dragoes have beaten one Serie A team in this competition already this season, beating Roma in the qualifying phase to book their place in the group stage.
Alex Telles, who was sent off in the first leg, is suspended and should be replaced by Miguel Layun. The Mexican will start in the four man back-line with Maxi Pereira, Marcano and Felipe. Right winger Jesus Corona is doubtful bu he should start with Oliver Torres and Yacine Brahimi behind the forward duo Tiquinho Soares and Andre Silva. Danilo Pereira will play as midfield shield between the defense and the offensive midfielders trio.
