JUVENTUS vs BARCELONA BETTING PREVIEW 

Juventus drew with Sporting last time up and missed the chance to get close to Barcelona in the standings. They trail the Blaugrana by 3 points, as a result of their 3-0 defeat at the Camp Nou at the beginning of the season. The Bianconeri suffered a heavy defeat at the weekend - 3-2 at Sampdoria - with manager Max Allegri's decision to rest several key players backfiring. The Old Lady now trail Napoli by 4 point in the Serie A standings, having also lost at home against Lazio (1:2) last month. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in 8 of their ast 9 outings, conceding also to Serie A minnows as Benevento, SPAL and Udinese.

Blaise Matuidi, Mattia De Sciglio, Paulo Dybala, Gianluigi Buffon and Alex Sandro were all rested at the weekend and are expected to feature from the off. Gonzalo Higuain will lead the line, while Mario Mandzukic and Juan Cuadrado are likely to start as offensive wingers, with Douglas Costa as viable alternative. Miralem Pjanic will anchor the midfield alongside Matuidi, while Sami Khedira will be benched after a disappointing performance against Sampdoria. Benedikt Howedes and Mehdi Benatia remain ot through injury. Stephan Lichtsteiner and Marko Pjaca are not eligible for this competition.



Barcelona were held to a goal-less draw by Olympiacos which halted their three match winning run in Champions League. The Blaugrana en need just a point on Wednesday evening in Turin to secure their place in the last 16. Their stunning start to the season continued at the weekend in La Liga where they ran out 3-0 winners at Leganes to make it 11 wins and a draw from their opening 12 league fixtures. The Catalans top the domestic standings with a 4 points gap over Valencia and 10 points over Atletico and Real Madrid.

Ernesto Valverde will stick with his 4-3-3 formation. Andres Iniesta could join Leo Messi and Luis Suarez up front, meaning that Paco Alcacer and Gerard Deulofeu will sit on bench. That would see Brazilian midfielder Paulinho starting in midfield with Ivan Rakitic and Sergi Busquets. In defense, Gerard Piquè served his one match ban on Matchday 4 and will partner Samuel Umtiti at the heart of the backline, with Nelson Semedo and Jordi Alba play as full backs. The likes of Arda Turan, Andre Gomes, Sergi Roberto, Javier Mascherano, Rafinha and Ousmane Dembele remain out through injury.
