Everton v Tottenham betting preview
Everton are winless in their last four Premier League outingsEverton's form has nosedived of late with just one win from their last six in the Premier League, which leaves them two points off sixth. The Toffees have now gone four Premier League games without a win, suffering defeats against Manchester City and Liverpool and being held to home draws with Newcastle and Watford in the process. Anyway, they haven't lost in their last five Premier League games at Goodison Park and have suffered just one defeat in their last 12 in front of their own turf.
Marco Silva is expected to revert to a more familiar 4-2-3-1 setup, with Kurt Zouma dropping out of the XI. Richarlison and Andre Gomes have recovered from illness should feature from the off. The former will lead the line - supported by Theo Walcott, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bernard - while the latter will start in midfield. Ademola Lookman and Cenk Tosun are further options in the attacking positions. Idrissa Gueye is doubtful and could be replaced by Morgan Schneiderlin or Tom Davies i nthe middle of the park.
Tottenham have won six of their last seven domestic fixturesA three-win streak in Premier League pushed Tottenham two points adrift of Chelsea and just six shy of leaders Liverpool. They needed a stoppage-time strike from Christian Eriksen to beat Burnley at Wembley last weekend, while recording a 3-1 home win over Southampton and a 2-0 away win at Leicester prior to that. Furthermore, Mauricio Pochettino's men picked up only their second-ever win at the Emirates Stadium to dump bitter rivals Arsenal out of the EFL Cup in midweek. Spurs remain the only team in the league to not have tasted a draw so far in this campaign.
Mauricio Pochettino faces a mounting injury crisis in central midfield with Victor Wanyama, Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier all ruled out. The likes of Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko should be the starting playmakers. Harry Kane will return to lead the line for Spurs on Sunday, having only been a substitute against Arsenal at the weekend due to illness. The "Hurricane" will be probably supported by Son Heung Min, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen. Anyway, the likes of Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela are pushing for a start. In defense, there could be a return for Davinson Sanchez at the back as he recovers from a hamstring problem.
