Everton v Man City Betting Preview  

Everton have won only one of their last 12 Premier League matches against Manchester City

Everton suffered a bloody 2-0 loss to Sheffield United at Goodison Park last Saturday. In midweed the Toffees won away at Sheffield Wednesday in the League cup, but they have lost 3 out of their last 4 Premier League fixtures. Plus, Marco Silva's men have scored just five times in their six league outings this season with new signing Moise Kean yet to get off the mark. The Merseysiders are currently sitting in 13th position in the EPL table, with 7 points colelcted in 6 games. As to last season's direct encounters, Everton lost 3-1 away and 2-0 in the corresponding fixture at Goodison Park.

The Toffees only have Jean-Phillipe Gbamin and Andres Gomes ruled out of this weekend’s clash, meaning that Morgan Scheiderlin and Fabian Delph will likely continue in central midfield.  Djibril Sidibe is putting pressure on Coleman at right-back after catching the eye in midweek. Dominic Calvert-Lewin may be preferred to Moise Kean up front, particularly given that he scored a brace against the Owls few days ago. Alex Iwobi and Bernard may have to tussle for the left-wing spot, although the former Arsenal player can be deployed as number ten, with Gylfi Sigurdsson making room.

Man City have won their last three on the bounce against Everton

Manchester City have bounced back in style from their shock defeat at Norwich a fortnight ago, winning their three subsequent games with a 14-0 aggregate scoreline. Pep Guardiola's men are fresh off the back of delivering an 8-0 drumming to Watford. The Citizens were already 5-0 up after 15 minutes of play - the fastest any side had reached that scoreline in a top flight game. Preston North End provided slightly sterner opposition for a second-string City in midweek, who recorded a 3-0 victory at Deepdale. Defense remains a concern but the Citizens have not conceded a single goal in the three games since John Stones joined Aymeric Laporte on the sidelines, with Fernandinho moved at the back.

The only injury concerns for City are at the back where they are without John Stones and Aymeric Laporte. Kyle Walker and Oleksandr Zinchenko could return at full-back after their midweek rests, as well as Fernandinho and Nicolas Otamendi at the heart of the back. Sergio Aguero is likely to spearhead the attack, with Gabriel Jesus sitting on bench. Riyad Mahrez has impressed in recent weeks, but he could step aside for Bernardo Silva, with David Silva and Kevin de Bruyne in midfield. The likes of Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden provide further options as playmaker and offensive midfielder.
