BORUSSIA DORTMUND v MONACO BETTING PREVIEW
Dortmund beat Benfica 4-1 on aggregate in the round of 16 and have lost only one of their eight Champions League matches this season (W5 D2), scoring a huge 34 goals in the process. They had a disappointing weekend, losing 4-1 'Der Klassiker' to rivals Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena last Saturday. As a result, they are still lying in fourth place in the Bundesliga, 18 points adrift of Bayern Munich and eight points behind RB Leipzig in 2nd position.
Manager Thomas Tuchel has a number of injuries in his squad. Defender Erik Durm, and midfielders Shinji Kagawa, Mario Gotze, Julian Weigl, Andre Schurlle and Sebastian Rode are sidelined for the hosts. Marco Reus is back in training and could feature at some stage. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in attack and Julian Weigl in midfield will be the two key men in the 4-1-4-1 starting system, with Raphael Guerreiro, Gonzalo Castro, Christian Pulisic and Ousmane Dembele likely to start behind them.
Monaco beat Manchester City on away goals after a 6-6 aggregate draw. They lost the 5-3 thriller away at Manchester but managed to win 3-1 at home. Monaco's away record in the Champions League is a bit on the lower side. They lost 3 of their 6 matches and conceded eight goals in their last two away games. Domestically, Leonardo Jardim's men currently sit top of the French league, leading Nice by a point and holding a 3-point cushion over PSG.
For the visitors, right-back Djibril Sidibe is a majord doubt and midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is missing. He joins Boschilia and Guido Carrillo on the sidelines. A resurgent Radamel Falcao is set to feature from the off alongside Kylian Mbappe in attack with Thomas Lemar and Bernardo Silva out wide. Fabinho and Joao Moutinho are likely to start in the middle of the park, while Andrea Raggi is expected to deputise as right back, forming the four man backline alongside Jemerson, Kamil Glik and Benjamin Mendy.
