BORUSSIA DORTMUND v LIVERPOOL BETTING PREVIEW

Dortmund continue to not let Bayern Munich get away from them in the Bundesliga title race, with BVB only five points adrift at the top. They have won 7 of their last 8 Bundesliga matches, and their last defeat in all competitions came against FC Koln in December. Tuchel's men are incredibly strong at home as they have dropped just four points on their own turf all season. BVB recorded a 5-1 aggregate win over Tottenham in the previous round and are favourite to lift the cup.

Mats Hummels and Sokratis Papastatopoulos are expected back in the starting line up while the rest of the team remains unchanged. Ilkay Gundogan has missed Dortmund's last five matches through injury and is a major doubt. As consequence, Nuri Sahin and Gonzalo Castro are vying for a start alongside Julian Weigl in the middle of the park. Defender Neven Subotic is still sidelined due to thrombosis in his arm.

Liverpool warmed up for their trip to Germany with a 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham last Saturday. The gap to fourth-placed Manchester City is currently nine points, but the Reds do have at least one game in hand over the teams above them in the table
In EUropa League, they overcame rivals Manchester United in the last round, following a 3-1 triumph on aggregate. A 1-1 draw in the second leg at Old Trafford was enough to progress and maintain their unbeaten record in this season's competition, although six of their 10 matches have ended as draws.

Klopp’s main injury concern ahead of Thursday’s first leg is Roberto Firmino who missed last time out. The Brazilian is rated as doubtful and could replace James Milner. Daniel Sturridge is expected to lead the line here as Christian Benteke is yet to recover. Divock Origi is the main alternative. Lucas Leiva is likely to miss out, despite being close to full fitness following a thigh injury while Joe Gomez and Danny Ings are the long-term absences.
