ARSENAL v NORWICH BETTING PREVIEW
Arsenal secured their first away win in the Premier League this season with a 5-2 thumping win at Everton on Sunday, a result that stopped a four match winless run (D1 3L) in which the Gunners scored just one goal in the process. The Gunners entered the Carabao Cup in the third round and claimed a 1-0 win over League One outfit Doncaster Rovers. Arsene Wenger's men are at the end of a run of three matches in five days and there will be some tired legs in the squad.
Wenger is expected to make wholesale changes to his starting XI. Fringe players such as Rob Holding, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and Mathieu Debuchy are likely to start while Mohammed Elneny will play as central defender. Olivier Giroud will spearhead the attack with Jack Wilshere and theo Walcott playing as offensive midfielders. Danny Welbeck, Calum Chambers, David Ospina, Shkodran Mustafi and Santi Cazorla remain sidelined.
Norwich, who sit sixth in the Championship, enter this clash on the back of a 9 match unbeaten run (W6 D3), a streak that saw them conceding just 3 goals during the period. The Canaries edged rivals Ipswich Town 1-0 in the East Anglia derby thanks to a magical James Maddison winner at the weekend. In the previous rounds of the EFL Cup, Norwich defeated lower-league opposition - Swindon Town and Charlton Athletic - and Championship peers Brentford.
Norwich manager Daniel Farke is expected to make some changes in order to keep the squad fresh. Cameron Jermoe is likely to lead the line ina 4-2-3-1 starting system, with Wes Hoolahan, Mario Vrancic and Josh Murphy tucked behind him. Marley Watkins serves the final game of his three-match ban while Alex Pritchard, Louis Thompson, Russell Martin, Matthew Jarvis, Steven Naismith and Alexander Tettey are all out through injury.
