Leicester have lost just three games in the top flight this season, all on the road

Leicester succumbed to their third defeat of the season last week, 3-1 at Manchester City, missing the chance to close the gap on their visitors during Liverpool's time away at the Club World Cup. Anyway, they are enjoying a stellar season, and currently lead the chasing pack behind the Reds, sitting 10 points behind the runaway leaders. The Foxes have lost just one of their 15 Premier League matches at the King Power Stadium since Brendan Rodgers’ appointment. Plus, they have not lost back-to-back matches under the new manager. Their 2-1 loss to Liverpool in the reverse match on early October kickstarted a nine-match unbeaten league run for the Foxes that included eight wins on the bounce. That defeat made it five games without victory against Liverpool, including four losses.

Harvey Barnes picked up a knock to his ankle against Man City. Demarai Gray the most likely to come in for him on the left with Ayoze Pérez used on the right. Jamie Vardy will spearhead the attack, while Wilfried Ndidi, Youri Tielemans, Ayoze Perez and James Maddison will complete the midfield. No changes are expected at the back, with Caglar Soyuncu paired at the heart of the backline, Ricardo Pereira and Ben Chilwell as full backs.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered an ankle ligament damage against Flamengo and joined Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip and Fabinho on the sidelines. James Milner and Georgino Wijnaldum will probably flank Jordan Henderson in midfield, with Adam Lallana and Xherdan Shaqiri viable alternative should Wijnaldum fail to recover from a muscle problem. Jurgen Klopp is expected to stick with his current first-choice back four of Andrew Robertson, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Up front, Mo Salah, Sadio Manè and Roberto Firmino should lead the line.
