JUVENTUS v TORINO BETTING PREVIEW
Juventus enter this match on the back of a 0-2 Champions League win at Monaco in the 1st leg of their semifinal on Wednesday. They are closing on an historic sixth consecutive Scudetto despite last weekend’s 2-2 draw at Atalanta. The Bianconeri have won all 17 of their home games in Serie A this season, conceding just eight goals at home in the Italian top flight so far. The Old Lady is the only European team in line to achieve the seasonal treble, as they will also face Lazio in the Coppa Italia final later this season.
Juventus are expected to make plenty of changes this weekend, and they could rest Gigi Buffon along with the central defender Giorgio Chiellini. Brazilian goalkeeper Neto and former Bayern's defender Mehdi Benatia are expected to feature from the off. Miralem Pjanic and Sami Khedira are likely to start in the middle of the park while Stefano Sturaro could start as left wing, replacing Mario Mandzukic in the offensive midfield trio behind Gonzalo Higuain. The only injured players are Daniele Rugani and Marko Pjaca.
Torino come into the match on the back of a six-match unbeaten streak but earned just two wins in the process (2-3 at Cagliari and 1-3 at Chievo). They drew 2-2 against Inter, 2-2 against Udinese, 1-1 against Crotone, and 1-1 against Sampdoria in the process. They are stuck in mid-table with no danger of relegation but this is a Derby match and of course Mihajlovic's men will do everything they can to stop their city rivals. Ending Juventus' run of 33 straight home wins would be a great achievement. Anyway, the 'Granata' have won only one of the last 22 derby matches against Juventus, losing their last 4 direct encounters and 11 of the last 12.
The visitors have recovered some injured players in the last week and only Lorenzo De Silvestri remains sidelined. Manager Mihajlovic is likely to play with a 4-2-3-1 formation in which Andrea Belotti will be the lone striker, supported by Iago Falque, Juan Iturbe and Adem Ljaijc. The likes of Afriyie Acquah and Daniele Baselli will start in midfield while the four man backline will be formed by Zappacosta, Rossettini, Moretti and Molinaro. In goal, Joe Hart will retain his starting berth.
