Everyday something changes as the UK progresses towards leaving the European Union, with meaningful votes, new promises, failed bids to push the deal over the line and plenty of talk about the Prime Minister’s future.
Brexit has already been delayed, having meant to have happened by March 29, with the end of May now the earliest this will happen, with a deal or not. On 17 October 2019, the UK government and EU agreed a revised withdrawal agreement, with new arrangements for Northern Ireland. What that of course means is more time for betting on the market, as well as a few months of an insecure Britain of course.
But how do you bet on Brexit? Here’s our guide to betting on Britain’s negotiations in leaving the EU...
How To Bet On BrexitBetting on Brexit is much easier than leading negotiations, just ask Theresa May or Boris Johnson. Firstly, the top online bookmakers aren’t as difficult as Britain’s politicians and you’ll find many markets across to bet on.
Most bets are offered as specials and there are many bets you can place, both serious and novelty.
You bet on them in exactly the same way as you would football betting or horse racing and simply select the market you wish to play, add it to your betslip, enter your stake and place your bets. It’s really that simple.
How long it will take to see your selection be settled, well your guess is as good as ours, but every option will have a definitive end and of course won’t be subjective. For example, you can’t bet on whether we will get a good deal or a bad deal.

Brexit Betting MarketsThere are many markets you can bet on currently, and as the twists and turns continue in the House of Commons, more and more markets will begin to appear.
There really is a plethora to choose from, and you’ll find some of the more common markets offered by bookmakers featured below…
Government Motion for [DATE] to PassThe government are regularly putting forward new motions to vote on and ahead of each one bookmakers are giving you the chance to bet on whether they will pass or not. The odds currently are always heavily favouring a ‘No’ vote, so you won’t find much value here. Also, if the vote doesn’t go ahead the bet will be voided.
Next Prime Minister After Boris JohnsonOne of the underlying topics with Brexit has been the future of Mr Johnson and bookmakers have been offering odds on who the next Prime Minister will be for some time. You would bet on this market just as you would the Next Manager market in football, and it only applies to a permanent position.
What Month Will Boris Johnson May Cease To Be Prime Minister?Theresa May recently suggested she will resign should she get the deal over the line, in a bid to try and force a bill through. You can bet on what month that will happen.
A Second EU Referendum To Take Place Before The End Of The YearYou can also vote on another referendum to take place before the end of the year, as more and more British citizens push for it.
A ‘Hard Border’ to operate in Ireland This YearOne of the main issues within Brexit is the Hard Border debate between Ireland and Northern Ireland. You can bet on the outcome of this debate and whether it’ll happen this year.
