EVERTON v TOTTENHAM BETTING PREVIEW 

Everton’s unbeaten start to the 2017/18 season in all competitions come to an end at the hands of Chelsea as they fell to a two first half goals at the at Stamford Bridge. Prior to that, they beat 1-0 Stoke City at home in the opening fixture and came from Etihad Stadium with a good 1-1 draw. Four points from three Premier League games isn't the most striking of returns, but visits to Manchester City and Chelsea are already out of the way. The Toffees have drawn three of their last four home league meetings with Spurs, though have won 10 of their last 11 home Premier League matches.

Ronald Koeman revealed Wayne Rooney will start against Tottenham despite being charged for drink driving during the international break. Gylfi Sigurdsson may be deployed in advanced midfield positions behind lone striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Sandro Ramirez is another option in attack. Mason Holgate is a slight doubt and should he be unavailable, Cuco Martina or Jonjoe Kenny could come into the starting XI at right wing-back. Leighton Baines looks a sure starter on the opposite flank.  James McCarthy is still out while  Seamus Coleman, Ramiro Funes Mori, Ross Barkley and Yannick Bolasie are long-term absentees.



Tottenham beat Newcastle comfortably in their Premier League opener, but their first league match at Wembley resulted in a 2-1 defeat against Chelsea and they followed that by failing to beat Burnley at home too, meaning their troubles at Wembley have continued early on this season. Of course, Tottenham can't afford to lose more ground in the top-flight and desperatey need Harry Kane to break his duck in order to get all three points. Dating back to last season, Pochettino's men have now won six of their last seven away games. Spurs haven't lost in the last nine meetings between these two clubs

Victor Wanyama will miss the trip to Everton due to a knee injury, with reports suggesting the midfielder could be sidelined for a few weeks. Eric Dier should play as midfielder, meaning that Davinson Sanchez will make his first appearance for the Lilywhites, joining Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen in the back three. Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane are also set to retain their starts in attack with Son Heung-min providing a viable alternative. New signings Serge Aurier and Fernando Llorente are fitness doubts having failed to play a league match this season while Vincent Janssen has joined Fenerbahce on loan. Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela remain out.
