Everton host Tottenham at Goodison Park in one of the most interesting Saturday's Premier League matches. Can either of these sides bounce back from the disappointing results they respectively suffered prior to last weekend's international break? Ronald Koeman revealed Wayne Rooney will start against Tottenham despite being charged for drink driving during the international break. Gylfi Sigurdsson may be deployed in advanced midfield positions behind lone striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Sandro Ramirez is another option in attack. Mason Holgate is a slight doubt and should he be unavailable, Cuco Martina or Jonjoe Kenny could come into the starting XI at right wing-back. Leighton Baines looks a sure starter on the opposite flank. James McCarthy is still out while Seamus Coleman, Ramiro Funes Mori, Ross Barkley and Yannick Bolasie are long-term absentees.

Of course, Tottenham can't afford to lose more ground in the top-flight and desperatey need Harry Kane to break his duck in order to get all three points. Dating back to last season, Pochettino's men have now won six of their last seven away games. Spurs haven't lost in the last nine meetings between these two clubs
Victor Wanyama will miss the trip to Everton due to a knee injury, with reports suggesting the midfielder could be sidelined for a few weeks. Eric Dier should play as midfielder, meaning that Davinson Sanchez will make his first appearance for the Lilywhites, joining Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen in the back three. Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane are also set to retain their starts in attack with Son Heung-min providing a viable alternative. New signings Serge Aurier and Fernando Llorente are fitness doubts having failed to play a league match this season while Vincent Janssen has joined Fenerbahce on loan. Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela remain out.
