CRYSTAL PALACE v LIVERPOOL BETTING PREVIEW

After Tuesday's 2-2 draw at Sunderland, Crystal Palace are 14th on 33 points, having fallen eight spots since their last win as they have gone 11 Premier League matches without a win (D4 L7). Furthermore, the Eagles have gone nine Premier League games since they last kept a clean sheet, conceding 21 goals in that run.

Bakary Sako may push for a start after getting 13 minutes under his belt as a substitute last time out. Mile Jedinak could continue alongside Yohan Cabaye at the base of midfield, with Joe Ledley the alternative, while Pape Souare will return at left-back having completed his suspension. Kwesi Appiah, James McArthur and Jason Puncheon remain sidelined. Connor Wickham and Wayne Hennessey will undergo late fitness tests.

Liverpool have avenged their penalty-shootout defeat in the League Cup final last weekend by thumping Manchester City 3-0at Anfield on Wednesday. The Reds now sit eighth in the table, only six points back from the top-four. They are unbeaten in their last three league games, scoring 11 in the process.

Lucas Leiva will miss the next four to five weeks with a thigh injury. Daniel Sturridge and Mamadou Sakho are doubts and may start from the bench while Alberto Moreno and Philippe Coutinho could come into the XI in place of John Flanagan and Divock Origi. Jordan Henderson and Emre Can are likely to keep their starting berths in central midfield in the 4-2-3-1 system. Joe Gomez, Jordan Rossiter and Danny Ings remain on the sidelines.

Crystal Palace have won six of their last 11 meetings with Liverpool in all competitions (W6 D2 L3). The Reds have only won one of their last five at Selhurst Park (L3-D1). Each of these sides’ last seven matches have seen goals at both ends and topped 2.5 goals.
