Jan Vertonghen will captain the side in the absence of Kompany and Vermaelen. Toby Alderweireld will start as central defender. Up front Christian Benteke made his return to the international fold against Iceland but may be replaced by Romelu Lukaku. Mirallas is out through injury and might be replaced by Mertens.
Wales have secured seven points from their opening three qualification games. Anyway, they lead the group courtesy of uninspiring 1-goal margins over Andorra and Cyprus, with a point against Bosnia in Zenica arguably their strongest result thus far.
Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen return having missed the last two qualifiers but midfielder Andy King misses the game through suspension, while Simon Church and Dave Edwards are both out of contention with injury. Chris Coleman is short of options in attack, with Hal Robson-Kanu potentially leading the line supported by Bale and Cotterill from wide.
Belgium have lost just one of their last 17 competitive fixtures - a 1-0 defeat against Argentina at the quarter-final stage of the 2014 World Cup. The Red Devils have netted 11 goals in previous three home fixtures.
In their last visit to Belgian soil, Wales recorded a good 1-1 draw in 2014 World Cup qualification, but the hosts had already booked their ticket to Brazil by that stage.
