AJAX v MANCHESTER UTD BETTING PREVIEW 

Ajax booked their place in the Europa League final with a 5-4 aggregate win over Lyon in the semis. They hammered the French outfit 4-1 in Amsterdam but they were hanging on at the death of the return in France, losing 3-1 at the Stade de Gerlands. They were ruthless at home, winning seven of seven in this competition, though they have faltered on their travels in the Europa League. The Dutch team have failed to win their last six competitive matches on foreign soil, losing each of the last three. In the Eredivisie, Ajax finished in second spot, one point behind Feyenoord and that means they will contest the Champions League qualifiers next season.

Nick Viergever is banned for Ajax and Daley Sinkgraven is doubtful, which should see Mitchell Dijks line up at left-back and Matthijs de Ligt partner up with Davinson Sanchez as centre-back. Peter Bosz is expected to play with his usual 4-3-3 starting system, with the likes Lasse Schone, Hakim Ziyech and Davy Klaassen playing in the middle of the park. Up front, the young talent Kasper Dolberg will play as central striker, while Amin Younes and Bertrand Traorè are likely to start out wide.

Jose Mourinho’s first season as Manchester United has not been a massive success, but the Portuguese has an opportunity to lift another trophy this season, having already won the Community Shield and the League Cup earlier this year. They finished 6th in the Premier League, despite beating 2-0 Crystal Palace on Sunday and their only chance to play the Champions League next season is to beat Ajax. As to the Europa League, the Red Devils looked to be cruising into the final after putting in a dominant display when beating Celta Vigo 1-0 in Spain but only drew the return at Old Trafford 1-1, and risked to concede a deadly goal in the final minutes. Prior to that, Man UTD  drew 1-1 away to Anderlecht in the first leg and extra time was needed at the Old Trafford before United came through 2-1 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate.

Jose Mourinho has largely rested his regular first teamers for Premier League matches in preparation for this clash. Marcus Rashford is set to return to lead the line, since Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still put trhough injury. He will be probably flanked by Jesse Lingard and Henrikh Mkhitaryan up front, with Anthony Martial and Juan Mata viable alternatives. In defense, Eric Bailly is suspended, which should see Phil Jones start at centre-back alongside Daley Blind. The likes of Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba are expected to start in the middle of the park. Chris Smalling is a major doubt, while Marcos Rojo, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Luke Shaw and Ashley Young are all ruled out.
