MONACO v VALENCIA BETTING PREVIEW
Monaco's start to the Ligue 1 season has not been overly promising as they beat Nice at the start of the month but have subsequently followed up with two draws against Lille and Toulouse. But their home form is really impressive. Considering their last 25 games at the Stade Louis II, their only defeat in 90 minutes came against Arsenal back in March. Monaco have only conceded 8 goal in those 25 matches! The French club lost 3-1 at Mestalla but they actually had 13 shots, which was three more than their Spanish counterparts.
Jardim made eight changes for the Toulouse match compared to the starting XI against Valencia. Star midfielder Joao Moutinho is still out but Monaco may be able to rely on Silva to be decisive too, just behind the impressive young striker Martial. Central back Aymen Abdennour could not play as he's in the process to move elsewhere.
Valencia head to the Stade Luis II with a pivotal 3-1 lead following the first game between the two club. The Spaniards have recently lost their star defender Nicholas Otamendi to Manchester City, and head into the showdown on the French Rivera on the back of a disappointing 0-0 draw against Rayo Vallecano in the opening weekend of La Liga.
Nuno Espirito Santo decided to rest few regular starters against Rayo but he is likely to recall Parejo, Feghouli, Gaya, Enzo Perez and Alcacer in the starting XI. Ruben Vezo is expected to partner Shkodran Mustafi in defence while Mathew Ryan should keep his place in goal with Diego Alves ruled out.
