LEICESTER v LIVERPOOL BETTING PREVIEW
Leicester were held to a 1-1 draw by Huddersfield and have only managed to collect four points from the first five league games. Prior to that, a comfortable 2-0 home victory over Brighton in the league was followed by a very impressive 4-1 win at Sheffield United in the previous round of this competition.
They have only two wins and a draw to show in their first six matches (in all competition) of the season, but all the three losses have come to sides that will compete for top places this season. They will face Liverpool again this weekend in Premier League.
Jamie Vardy is a major doubt for the hosts because of a groin problem. He joins Matty James, Robert Huth and Christian Fuchs on the sidelines. As a result Kelechi Iheanacho and Islam Slimani are expect to lead the line while Demarai Gray and Mark Albrighton are expect to start out wide. Shinji Okazaki and Riyad Mahrez are likely to be rested. Vicente Iborra and Daniel Amartey are favourites to fgeature from the off in midfield. Adrien Silva remains sidelined after FIFA blocked his £22million transfer from Sporting Lisbon.
Liverpool will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing 1-1 home draw with Burnley on Saturday, a result that followed a 2-2 home draw against Sevilla in Champions League. They are winless in three matches and continue to make awful defensive mistakes. The Reds have won on only one of their last four visits to Leicester, losing two of their last three matches at the King Power Stadium.
Jurgen Klopp loves to rotate personnel for cup ties and will make wholesale changes. The likes of Dominic Solanke, Ragnar Klavan, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Marko Grujic and Ben Woodburn will be pushing for game time on Tuesday while Danny Ings could feature for Liverpool at some stage for the first time in almost 12 months. In defense, Joel Matip might need some rest after playing every single minute since the start of the season. Sadio Mane sits out the second game of his three-match ban.
