JUVENTUS vs INTER MILAN BETTING PREVIEW 

Juventus enter this match on the back of 2 very positive results. The Bianconeri have beaten Napoli at Stadio San Paolo (0-1 courtesy of a Gonzalo Higuain's strike) last weekend, a result that saw them reducing the gap over the Partenopei to just one point. In midweek, Juve defeated Greek outfit Olympiacos away from home (0-2) securing their place to the Champions League knock-out stage. Coach Max Allegri seems to have fixed defensive concerns as his team has not conceding in the last 4 matches, including a goalless draw against Barcelona at home. As to direct matches, Juventus have won the last three home encounter with Inter Milan.

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is reported to miss the game, meaning that Wojciech Szczesny will start in goal. Allegri should play with a 4-2-3-1 system, unless he wants to revert to a 4-3-3 and give Claudio Marchisio a rare start. Stephan Lichtsteiner and Benedikt Howedes are out through injury, and the likes of Alex Sandro, Mattia De Sciglio, Giorgio Chiellini and Mehdi Benatia are expected to start at the back. Sami Khedira should get the nod over Blaise Matuidi to partner Miralem Pjanic in midfield. Up front, the lone striker Higuain is expected to be supported by Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Juan Cuadrado, who scored the winning goal last term.



Inter Milan surprisingly top the Serie A table. The Nerazzurri are unbeaten after 15 fixtures (W12 D3) and have a 2 points lead over Juventus (and one point over 2nd place Napoli). They were not involved in midweek's European competitions and this could be a huge advantage for them. Luciano Spalletti's men are playing an entertaining football, as shown last weekends in their 5-0 home success over Chievo Verona. Plus, Icardi & co. have scored at least two goals in 5 of the last 6 games. They also boast the best defensive record of the league (alongside Napoli and Roma) with only 10 goals conceded so far.

Joao Miranda, Matias Vecino and Borja Valero are back in contention after serving suspensions and recovering from injuries. They will all start the match, with Borja Valero likely to play as offensive midfielder, Vecino to partner Roberto Gagliardini in the middle of the park and Miranda to replace Andrea Ranocchia as centre back. Joao Mario and Marcelo Brozovic provide further options in midfield while Davide Santon and Yuto Nagatomo are battling for a starting berth as left back. No changes are expected in attack where Mauro Icardi will lead the line, with Ivan Perisic and Antonio Candreva out wide.
