Kell Brook Brook became World Champion dethroning Shawn Porter in California during the summer of 2014. Since then, he made two successful defences of his IBF title in 2015, making light work of Ionut Dan Ion and Frankie Gavin before a rib injury led to the cancellation of a scheduled defence against Diego Chaves. Both defences didn't excite and he needs a convincing victory in order to back up his claims that he deserves to be in the ring with the best in the division.

Brook is a compact puncher who can hit his opponent from a variety of angles and has won five of his last seven fights by knockout. He has above-average hand speed and a vicious uppercut that can end a fight. The only real concern with Brook is his stamina, as he tends to wear down if fights go the distance.

His opponent, the 31-year-old Canadian Kevin Bizier, has a 25-2 record (17 KOs) but is yet to face any notable fighters in his career. He was last seen stopping the previously undefeated American Fredrick Lawson in 10 rounds. Both defeats in his career came at the fists of Ionut Dan Ion, who Brook put away in four rounds, both via split decision. This raises questions about the 5ft 9inch orthodox's legitimacy to contest a world title.

Bizier is a smart defensive fighter who does a nice job of mixing up combinations. Bizier also has a proven chin and has never clearly lost a fight throughout his career at 31 years old. He has never been stopped in his career, but he has never stepped in the ring with anyone of Brook’s class
