When is the Eurovision Song Contest 2025?

The ESC will run across three unmissable evenings this year, starting on Tuesday 13 May for the first semi-final then Thursday 15 May for the second.

The Eurovision Grand Final will take place on Saturday 17 May in Basel (Switzerland).

All live events will start at 8pm UK time.

The live final will be broadcast on BBC One and available for streaming on BBC iPlayer. Viewers outside the UK can check their local broadcasters for coverage or access the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel for live streams.

Who is the Favourite to win Eurovision 2022?

The ‘Big Five’ – France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom – plus last year’s winners Switzerland are guaranteed a place in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Italy's Lucio Corsi is a funny character and could make the Top 10. The UK is represented by the girl band Remember Monday with their country-pop track “What The Hell Just Happened?”. The group are as short as 10/1 in betting markets to emulate James Newman’s performance in 2021 by scoring zero points.

Sweden enters Eurovision 2025 as the bookmakers' favourite, with KAJ’s “Bara Bada Bastu” leading the pack. Their song is a quirky, comedic song celebrating sauna culture. Looking for more dark horses? San Marino have not made the cut for the final since 2021 but could have an opportunity this year with Gabry Ponte's bouncy dance track "Tutta l'Italia". This song was originally written as the theme tune for Italy's Sanremo music festival but proved so popular it was selected to represent San Marino.

Representing Ukraine this year is the band Ziferblat with the haunting "Bird of Pray". They can sure proft form a favourable televote and make the Top 10.

Estonia also represents a compelling outside shot with serious upside. They are represented by avant-garde rapper Tommy Cash with his track "Espresso Macchiato." Blending electro swing with Italian and English lyrics, the song is as eccentric as its performer.

United Kingdom Odds

This year’s entrant from the United Kingdom – country-pop trio Remember Monday and their bop “What The Hell Just Happened?”. They face challenging odds with all UK sportsbooks deeming them quite unlikely to win.

Sam Ryder is the only British act in the last 14 competitions to finish in the top 10 and that would be some result for Remember Monday.
