BARCELONA v JUVENTUS BETTING PREVIEW
Barcelona have easily tallied nine points from their opening three league games, beating 2-0 Real Betis (at home) and Alaves (away) and hammering 5-0 Espanyol at Camp Nou last weeekend. Prior to that, the Catalans have lost both legs of the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid, 1-3 at home and 2-0 at the Bernabeu. Barça and Juve have already met this season in the International Champions Cup, with the Blaugrana winning 2-1 thanks to a Neymar double.Few changes are expected to Ernesto Valverde's usual XI with Sergio Roberto earning a recall at the expense of Nelson Semedo and new signing Ousmane Dembele hoping to make his first start after making his debut from the bench in last weekend derby against Espanyol. Ivan Rakitic managed to play the full game last time out and is expected to feature from the off in a three man midfield with Sergi Busquets and Andres Iniesta. Rafinha is the only sidelined player while Arda Turan is a major doubt.
Juventus responded to Super Cup disappointment against Lazio by winning their first three league games over Cagliari (3-0), Genoa (4-2) and Chievo (3-0) and lead the Italian Serie standings alongside Inter Milan and Napoli. The Bianconeri knocked Barcelona out of last season's competition when romped to a 3-0 win at home before holding Lionel Messi & Co. to a goalless draw at the Camp Nou, banishing the memory of their 2015 Champions League Final defeat to the Blaugrana.
Coach Max Allegri is expected to stick with his 4-2-3-1 formation in which the lone striker Gonzalo Higuain will be supported bt Douglas Costa, Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic, with Federico Bernardeschi as viable alternative.Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is likely to return to the starting XI after leaving his berth to Wojciech Szczesny against Chievo but defender Giorgio Chiellini is expected to miss out with a calf injury. Juan Cuadrado is suspended while Claudio Marchisio and Marko Pjaca are long-term absentees. Marko Pjaca and Stephan Lichtsteiner are not included in the UEFA list.
