West Ham v Tottenham betting preview  

West Ham have been slumping down the ladder for the past few game weeks

West Ham have lost four of six winless matches dating back to late September, and they sit down in 16th place in the Premier League table, just five points ahead of 18th placed Watford. Both their home victories - over Norwich and Man Utd - came back in September, as the Hammers have since lost two of their last three at the London Stadium. Their shaky defense remains a concern as Manuel Pellegrini's men have conceded at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 league matches. A 4-0 defeat to League One outfit Oxford United in the EFL Cup at the end of September appears to have severely hurt their confidence. West Ham's last meeting with Spurs came in April when the Hammers condemned the North London side to their first defeat at the club's new stadium.

The hosts remain without winger Manuel Lanzini and goalkeeper Lucasz Fabianski, while Winston Reid is a long-term injury. Roberto Jimenez will continue in goal despite his poor form.  Michail Antonio, Mark Noble and Jack Wilshere have been all declared fit for Gameweek 13 but only the captain his expected to start form the off. Andryi Yarmolenko and Robert Snodgrass are expected to retain their starting berth as offensive midfielders, the four man backline will see the likely return of Pablo Zabaleta as right back alongside Angelo Ogbonna and Issa Diop.

Tottenham are without a Premier League away win since January (12 games)

Jose Mourinho takes charge of Tottenham for the first time on Saturday after the club decided to sack Mauricio Pochettino. The Lilywhites have fallen from the dizzying heights of June's Champions League final loss to Liverpool to their current spot of 14th in the domestic table. The Portuguese will aim to improve Spurs' dire away form, which sees them mired on a 12-match winless run. More recently, Spurs’ league record reads just one win in seven since September overall. Tottenham have scored just 18 goals in 12 league fixtures and four during a five-match winless spell (0-3-2) they carried into the international break after a 1-1 draw at home against newly-promoted Sheffield United on Nov. 9.

Mourinho's only long-term injury problem is Hugo Lloris, who will be replaced by Paulo Gazzaniga. Erik Lamela is rated 50:50 to be fit following a thigh injury, meaning that Harry Kane is likely to be supported by Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-Min. The likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Moussa Sissoko are likely to anchor the midfield while Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld are expected to form the centre backs pair although Jan Vertonghen looks fully recovered.
