Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury 2

No one hits harder than Deontay Wilder

Deontay Wilder has fought 42 fights, won 41 of them and 40 by way destructive knockout. The only slight blot on his copybook was that 12-round split decision draw with Fury in Los Angeles. The Bronze Bomber won both fights after the first clash with the Brit. He knocked Dominic Breazeale out inside the first round in brutal fashion in New York City in May of 2019. He then defeated Luiz Ortiz - another rematch - late last year. The Cuban was winning the fight on all three judge’s scorecards but was knocked out by Wilder's devastating right hand in the 7th round.

Deontay Wilder is 34 years old. He stands at six feet, seven inches tall with a reach of 83 inches and fights from an orthodox stance. The American isn’t the prettiest fighter to watch but possesses unique punching power that more than makes up for where he lacks in other areas. The only guy other than Fury to take Wilder the distance was Bermane Stiverne in 2015 but it is almost impossible to find a challenger that can outrun him for the full 36 minutes of the 12 rounds.

Tyson Fury outboxed Wilder in the majority of the rounds of the original fight

Tyson Fury (29-0-1, 20 KOs) has also won twice in between fights with Wilder. He comfortably recorded a TKO against German Tom Schwarz in Las Vegas but was disappointing last time out against Otto Wallin. The Gipsy King suffered two severe cuts above his eyes that were ruled to be caused by punches. He was in jeopardy of the bout being stopped but managed to earn a unanimous decision victory. Prior to the fight against Wilder, Fury had just a couple of low-key warm-up fights before being pitched back into elite level versus Wilder in the initial fight. Wewould  expect to see a better version of Fury this time around with more ring rust knocked off.

Tyson Fury is 31 years old. He stands at six feet, nine inches tall with a reach of 85 inches and fights from an orthodox stance. The Brit has brought in Sugar Hill as his trainer to add another element to his game and work on his punching power and strength. In the first fight, the Gypsy King outboxed Wilder for the majority of the contest but was floored twice in late rounds before miraculously rising to his feet. This time he would have to box to the best of his ability for every second of every round.
