Tottenham are coming off a three-game winning streak in February so far

Tottenham come into this fixture off the high of Son Heung-Min's last-gasp goal that gave them a 3-2 victory at Aston Villa on Sunday. They currently sit fifth in the Premier League, a point behind fourth-placed Chelsea. Prior to the match in Birmingham, Josè Mourinho's men started the month by defeating Manchester City 2-0 and then edged out Southampton 3-2 in the FA Cup fourth round replay. Defensively, however, concerns remain -as they have only managed to keep two clean sheets from the last 15 games in all competitions. The Lilywhites have already lost twice to German opposition this season, falling to Bayern Munich in the group stages, including that 7-2 defeat in north London.

Sunday's hero Heung-Min Son sustaining a fracture to his right arm against Aston Villa last time out and will undergo surgery later this week. With Harry Kane also injured, Josè Mourinho has no strikers available for the next weeks. Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn and Dele Alli will be required to be play as strikers, while Erik Lamela has resumed training this week and will sit on bench. Elsewhere, Mourinho will likely stick with Ben Davies at left-back after the Welshman finally returned from injury. The Portuguese manager could be also tempted to start Japhet Tanganga at right-back and push Serge Aurier forward.

RB Leipzig have failed to win any of their last four league games on the road

RB Leipzig are having a great season and warmed up for this game with a comfortable 3-0 home win over Werder Bremen. That result brought an end to a four-match winless run in all competitions. Prior to that, "Die Roten Bullen" suffered a cup defeat, losing 3-1 to Frankfurt in the DFB-Pokal, before gaining a point with a goalless draw away to league leaders Bayern Munich. They are within one point of the Bavarians in the Bundesliga standings. Leipzig advanced in Champions League by winning a group that also contained Lyon, Benfica and Zenit St Petersburg, losing just one of their six matches.

The visitors will be without the suspended centre-back Dayot Upamecano while Tyler Adams, Kevin Kampl, Ibrahima Konate and Willi Orban remain sidelined. As a result, Julian Nagelsmann has a major selection issue in defence. He is expected to stick with a back-three formation, which could potentially see Manchester City loanee Angelino slot in at wing-back. Nordi Mukiele, Lukas Klostermann and Marcel Halstenberg will form the three man backline. Marcel Sabitzer will likely drop into the right-wing-back role with Amadou Haidara lining up in midfield. Up front, Christopher Nkunku and Yussuf Poulsen may get the nod ahead of Dani Olmo and Patrik Schick in attack.
