Tottenham v Arsenal betting preview
Spurs are unbeaten in their three home matches (W2 D1) since the resumptionOne point and one place separate the clubs, with Tottenham currently below their bitter rivals on 49 points in eighth. The 4th place is occupied by Leicester on 59 points. Jose Mourinho's men only managed a goalless draw at Bournemouth last time out. Spurs failed to register a single shot on target last time out against the relegation-threatened Cherries. Prior to that, they beat Everton at home (1-0). In terms of direct matches, Spurs are unbeaten in their last five home league meetings with Arsenal.
Juan Foyth and Japhet Tanganga are doubtful for Spurs. Dele Alli (hamstring) is a doubt while Eric Dier is suspended. Lucas Moura and Son Heung-Min are expected to return to the starting XI with the duo set to replace Steven Bergwijn and Erik Lamela in attack. Harry Kane's place in the starting lineup is not in doubt despite a poor run of form. Jan Vertonghen could keep his spot at centre-back after a man of the match performance last time out.
Arsenal have won just four times away from the Emirates this seasonArsenal have recovered from two defeats to go four games unbeaten, including three straight wins before the home draw with Leicester City. They sit 8th in the league, 9 points shy of 4th placed Leicester. The Gunners have failed to win in five league visits to their north London rivals. The reverse fixture played at the Emirates in September ended 2-2. Mike Arteta's men came back from 2-1 down at halftime to claim a share of the points.
Bernd Leno, Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari and Gabriel Martinelli are all carrying injuries and will play no part. Eddie Nketiah also begins a three-match ban so Alexandre Lacazette will be confident of another start up front. Mikel Arteta could alternatively play Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang centrally. Plus, Nicolas Pepe was on the bench for the draw with the Foxes and is among those pushing for first team recall. Joe Willock, Lucas Torreira and Ainsley Maitland-Niles (another possibility in Bellerin's position) may have to watch on from the bench with Dani Ceballos and Granit Xhaka now mainstays in central midfield.
