The Grand Annual Chase (also known as the Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Chase) has been moved to Day 2 after being the last race of the Festival for many years. It's a Grade 3 National Hunt chase, run over two miles and half-a-furlong, for horses aged five years and upwards, with a prize pure of £110,000. It is the shortest distance handicap chase run at the Festival, featuring 14 fences to be jumped.

A thrilling finale, with a huge field of two mile handicappers whizzing round. The betting is usually very competitive as it generally involves a lot of casual punters.

Who will win the Grand Annual Chase 2021?We'll take a closer look at this year's Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Handicap Chase and try to determine which horse is likely to prevail in this year's renewal

SKY PIRATE is a previous course and distance winner but has had an extremely tough year so far in his five outings. The Jonjo O’Neill charge cruised to a superb victory over Ibleo here at Cheltenham in December and was beaten to a pulp by Allmankind at Warwick most recently.

ZANZA has run at the track three times previously and the best he could muster was twenty-first place in last years’ County Hurdle behind Saint Roi.

EMBITTERED jumped nicely on his first two starts over fences, losing out by three lengths to two odds-on shots in Easywork and Andy Dufresne. After a couple of disappointing performances in Grade One races, he was then hampered by the falling Captain Guinness two from home in the Irish Arkle. Anyway, Embittered has been handed a lenient mark of just 146 and could be a serious contender.

IBLEO recorded a good second to Sky Pirate here just before Christmas. He has enjoyed a nice break since beating The Big Bite at Doncaster back in January and could be a serious contender on soft ground.

ENTOUCAS has been consistent for Joseph O’Brien this term and looks to have improvement to come. He finished 8 lenghts behind stable mate Unexcepted at Tipperary back in October but finished front rank in two of Ireland’s strongest two-mile handicaps this season.

Dark horses?UNEXCEPTED won his chasing debuts at Tipperary and has only been seen once since, when disappointing after a break in the Irish Arkle last month.

A WAVE OF THE SEA, who also has an entry in the Paddy Power Plate, was a Grade 1 winning juvenile last season. This term he was victorious over two miles when last seen in the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown.

Horses with previous Cheltenham experience could go well. US AND THEM was a distant second in the 2019 Arkle Novices' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival while CHOSEN MATE bids to become the first horse ever to win this race twice.

At the moment, the most backed horses are the following:
