Mauricio Pochettino's men have recorded back to back win in their last two outings, winning 3-1 at Aston Villa in the FA Cup and beating Crystal Palace 3-1 at Selhurst Park last Monday, courtesy of a brace scored by Conor Gallagher.

The Portuguese remains a doubt for the weekend and could be replaced by Jeremy Doku. Pep Guardiola has als ruled out Josko Gvardiol (ankle) for two to three weeks. The Spaniard is expected to rotate his starting XI in this Double Gameweek with Julian Alvarez, Kevin De Bruyne, Nathan Akè and John Stones the likely candidates for a breather in one of the next two outings. Rico Lewis, Sergio Gomez, Matheus Nunes and Oscar Bobb are expected to play at some stage, here or against Brentford next Tuesday.

Thiago Silva sustained a groin injury against Crystal Palace on Monday evening and will miss out. The Brazilian defender will be replaced by Levi Colwill, since Benoit Badiashile will also miss around a month of action with a similar injury. Malo Gusto and Ben Chilwell will start as full backs in a 4-2-3-1 starting system in which Nicolas Jackson is expected to spearhead the attack. Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling and Conor Gallagher are likely to start as offensive midfielders, with Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo anchoring the midfield. Christopher Nkunku and Mikhailo Mudryk provide further offensive alternatives. Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez is available after two months out but Djordje Petrovic will retain his starting berth between the sticks.

The Blues have conceded two or more goals in six of their last seven top-flight assignments away from Stamford Bridge and were soundly beaten by Liverpool and Wolves in the last month (shipping four goals in each of those losses).
Man City have been a winning machine of late and have been boosted by Kevin De Bruyne's return to form. Considering their recent form, it's hard to look past the Cityzens in the match result market.
