Liverpool vs Man City Betting Preview
Liverpool enter this crucial clash on the back of a great 5-1 win at Porto in Champions League. The Reds are now top of the group having also beaten AC Milan in the opening matchweek. They are also flying domestically and sit top of the league heading into Matchweek 7. Jurgen Klopp's men are the only unbeaten side in the division but have drawn two of the past four league matches, at home to Chelsea (1-1) and away to Brentford (3-3). Their tally of 15 goals scored is also the highest in the division.
After a very rare goalless home draw against Southampton, Manchester City managed to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend. Anyway, the Cityzens suffered a 2-0 defeat at Paris Saint Germain and will be hoping to bounce back in a convincing manner. They are struggling up front having failed to sign any Sergio Aguero's replacement but they look solid at the back. Pep Guardiola's men have conceded just once in their opening six Premier League games and that was back on opening day. As to recent encounters between these two teams, Man City recorded an impressive 4-1 win at Anfield last season. That marked their first win at Anfield since 2003.
Best Odds
Liverpool are the slight underdogs at 2/1 with Betfred to win on Sunday, with Man City are the favourites at 6/4 with Betfair. The draw priced at 13/5 with Unibet.

Probable Line-Ups
Liverpool (4-3-3): Alisson; Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has joined Harvey Elliott and Thiago Alcantara on the injury list. James Milner is expected to start as right back, with Andrew Robertson retaining his berth on the other flank. Roberto Firmino scored a brace last time out and is pushing for a start in the 'tridente'. Diogo Jota could make room for the Brazilian. Curtis Jones was impressive in that 5-1 drubbing of the Portuguese side and should feature from the off in the middle of the park, alongside Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. Naby Keita provides a further option.
Manchester City (4-3-3): Ederson; Walker, Dias, Laporte, Cancelo; Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Jesus, Foden, Grealish.
Ilkay Gundogan is not expected back until after the upcoming October international break and remains sidelined alongside Oleksandr Zinchenko. Phil Foden and Gabriel Jesus both seem set to return to the first XI, after Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling had a disappointing evening in Paris. Jack Grealish will complete the front trio while Rodri will be flanked by Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne in the middle of the park. At the back, Aymeric Laporte should get the nod ofer John Stones for a centre-back berth. Benjamin Mendy remains suspended by the club.
Our Liverpool vs Man City Predictions
Liverpool are unbeaten in 10 competitive fixtures at Anfield and have scored at least three goals in each of their last six games. Manchester City's away performance have been below par so far - they have won only two of five matches and been outscored 4-2. As a result we back Liverpool to win the match, with the 2-1 scoreline our favourite choice in the correct score market. The both teams to score bet is also appealing.
