Chelsea vs Liverpool betting preview
Chelsea were held at home by Brighton (1-1) last time out and now are 11 points behind Manchester City with this game in hand. The Blues have failed to win three of the last four Premier League matches, having also shared the spoils with Everton (1-1) and Wolves (0-0). The build-up to this match has been overshadowed by Romelu Lukaku‘s recent interview with Sky Italy, in which the Belgian striker admitted he is not happy at Chelsea and would like to return to Inter Milan.
Liverpool lost away to a depleted Leicester City on Tuesday and trail Manchester City by 12 points (as Guardiola's men beat Arsenal on Saturday's early kick-off), but the Reds have two games in hand. The defeat at the King Power Stadium was only their second defeat of the season in all competitions, and the first – against West Ham in early November – was followed by an eight-match winning run, starting with a 4-0 demolition of Arsenal.
The two teams played out a dramatic 1-1 draw at Anfield back in August. Jurgen Klopp's men are unbeaten in their last five Premier League meetings with Chelsea and have won two of the most recent three encounters.
Best Odds
Liverpool are slightly favourites to make the double over the Blues, with Betfair pricing the Reds 17/10 for a win. The Blues are backable at 9/5 with STS for the home win. The draw has 5/2 as the best price at Coral.

Probable Line-Ups
Chelsea (3-4-2-1): Mendy; Azpilicueta, Chalobah, Rudiger; Hudson-Odoi, Jorginho, Kante, Alonso; Mount, Ziyech; Lukaku
Thomas Tuchel has defensive issues to deal with. Reece James, Ben Chilwell, and Andreas Christensen are unavailable, while Thiago Silva remains a doubt. The likes of Callum Hudson-Odi, Malang Sarr and Christian Pulisic could be asked to start as right wing back. N'Golo Kantè and Timo Werner have returned to full training, as well as Kai Havertz who should return after testing postivie for COVID on early December. Up front, Hakim Ziyech and Mason Mount should start behind the lone striker Romelu Lukaku.
Liverpool (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Henderson, Fabinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Jota, Mane
Andy Robertson serves the third and final game of his suspension following his sending off against Tottenham. Hence Kostas Tsimikas will start at left back, completing the back four line alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virigl van Dijk and Joel Matip. The likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita are available ahead of the imminent Africa Cup of Nations. Diogo Jota should get the nod over Roberto Firmino for a place in the front trio. Nat Phillips, Adrian, Divock Origi and Harvey Elliott remain absent.

Chelsea v Liverpool Betting Tips
Both teams badly need a win to keep themselves in the title race and there is no doubt that these two sides are currently not at their best. Jurgen Klopp's men have the players to make the most of a depleted Chelsea defense, and we back the Reds to get maximum points at Stamford Bridge. 1-2 is our pick in the Correct Score market while Mo Salah could be the first to put his name on the scoresheet before leaving for the AFCON in Cameroon.
