Manchester City v Tottenham Betting PreviewManchester City go into Sunday's Wembley showpiece hoping to secure a record-equalling fourth consecutive title in the competition. The Citizens are comfortably top of the table in Premier League but their are no longer in the running for an unprecedented quadruple, having been knocked out by Chelsea in the FA Cup Semi-Final. Pep Guardiola's men bounced back from that 1-0 loss to the Blues by beating Aston Villa 2-1 at Villa Park despite playing over half the game with 10 men. Man City have not lost a League Cup match since October 2016
Tottenham sacked Jose Mourinho on Monday and replaced the Special One with former Spurs' player Ryan Mason. The, 29-year-old manager won his first ever game as manager on Wednesday against Southampton (2-1). They were 1-0 down at half time, hitting back with Gareth Bale equalising and Son Heung-Min scoring a penalty in the 90th minute. Prior to that, Spurs drew at Newcastle and Everton either side of a 3-1 home defeat against Manchester United. Tottenham have beaten City 2-0 on home turf this term, but went down 3-0 when they last met at Etihad Stadium a couple of months ago.
Man City are red-hot favourites to win the match, with Ladbrokes offering 1/2 for the Citizens to win in 90 minutes.
The draw is available at 4/1 with 10bet, while a Spurs win is backable at 29/5 with Betsafe.
Probable Line-upsManchester City (4-3-3): Ederson; Cancelo, Laporte, Ruben Dias, Walker; Rodrigo, Gundogan, B.Silva; Foden, G.Jesus, Mahrez
The injury-plagued Sergio Aguero is enduring another spell on the sidelines with a niggling muscular issue. Kevin De Bruyne missed the game at Villa Park and is a major doubt while John Stones is supended after he was sent off last time out. Gabriel Jesus could get a run out with perhaps a false nine utilised against PSG. Aymeric Laporte will certainly rotate into the side with Stones suspended but Joao Cancelo will also hope for a recall.
Tottenham (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Reguilon, Dier, Alderweireld, Aurier; Hojberg, Ndombele; Bale, Lucas Moura, Son Heung Min; Kane
Ryan Mason is hopeful Kane will recover from an ankle injury in time to feature. His absence would be a major blow, with Son Heung-Min ready to lead the line if required. Gareth Bale, who impressed in a rare outing last time out, is also expected to start, with Lucas Moura completing the front four.Dele Alli remains short of match fitness but will be hoping to come off the bench, meaning Giovani Lo Celso is in contention with Tanguy Ndombele for a place in midfield. Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon pushing for minutes but Toby Alderweireld and Eric Dier are expected to form the centre-back pair.
