Manchester UTD vs Watford Betting Preview
Man UTD enter this clash fresh off another semifinal disappointment as they were beaten by Manchester City (0-2) at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup. It was the fourth time in four occasions that the Red Devils have been eliminated at semifinal stage under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in all the competitions. Anyway, United are in fine form having won eight of their last ten matches in the league which has them sat joint top with Liverpool.Watford have once again changed their manager as Vladimir Ivic was sacked before Christmas. Former Dinamo Tblisi gaffer Xisco Munoz at the helm. The Hornets enter the match off the back of a 2-1 defeat at Swansea, which left them down in 6th position in the Championship standings with a game in hand, 10 points off the top of the division (Norwich City). They have netted the fewest goals of the top teams in the Championship, and have scored just five in 11 Championship matches on the road. Just one win from their last four is a further cause for concern.
Probable Line-Ups
Manchester United (4-2-3-1): Henderson; Tuanzebe, Bailly, Maguire, Telles; Matic, Van de Beek; James, Mata, Greenwood; MartialThe likes of Bruno Fernandes, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford are expected to be rested while Harry Maguire is likely to start again at centre back, partnered by Eric Bailly. Up front, Anthony Martial will lead the line, supported by Dan James, Juan Mata and Mason Greenwood. With Edinson Cavani still suspended, Odion Ighalo and Jesse Lingard are the offensive alternatives. In midfield, former Ajax midfielder Donny Van De Beek should be handed a rare start.
Watford (4-4-2): Bachmann; Navarro, Troost-Ekong, Wilmot, Masina; Hughes, Chalobah, Cleverley, Sarr; Gray, Deeney
Phillip Zinckernagel, who signed from Norweigan champions Bodo-Glimt last week, should not feature from the off. Andrè Gray and Troy Deeney will start up front with Ismaila Sarr and Will Hughes out wide. Craig Cathcart and Joao Pedro have returned to training following hamstring issues, and the pair are in contention to feature at Old Trafford. Isaac Success, Tom Dele-Bashiru and Adam Masina all remain sidelined with long-term injuries.
