Fiorentina are also in search of their maiden major European trophy since 1961, when they lifted the UEFA Winners' Cup. They have finished outside of the top seven in the Serie A table despite winning the last two games (2-1 at home against Roma and 3-1 on the road at Sassuolo), and narrowly lost in the Coppa Italia final at the hands of Inter Milan two weeks ago. As a result, winning the Conference Cup remains their last chance to play in Europe next term. In the Conference League, "la Viola" they knocked out Lech Poznan and Basel in the quarter-final and semi-final respectively after losing the home leg in both occasion.

West Ham have been disappointing in the Premier League this season, finishing 14th in the standings. They have never competed for an European placement and were not safe from relegation until the final weeks of the season lost. Moreover, they lost the final game of the domestic league against Leicester at the Kings Power stadium, 2-1. Anyway, the Hammers have been impressive in their Conference League campaign. They have gone unbeaten in 14 games (W13 D1) in this competition, beating AZ Alkmaar twice in the semi-finals. David Moyes' men also had a memorable run to the Europa League semi-finals last season, but were ultimately knocked out by eventual winners Eintracht Frankfurt (3-1 on aggregate).

Back-up goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu is the only sidelined player, given that Nicolas Gonzalez should be fit to start. The Argentinian will support the lone striker Arthur Cabral alongside Giacomo Bonaventura and Jonathan Ikonè. The likes of Riccardo Sottil and Real Madrid loanee Luka Jovic are likely to play in the second half. In midfield, Moroccan hero Sofyane Amrabat will be joined by Rolando Mandragora, with Gaetano Castrovilli and Alfred Duncan providing further options. No changes are expected at the back, where Nikola Milenkovic and Lucas Martinez Quarta will be flanked by Brazilian left-back Dodo and captain Cristiano Biraghi.

Michael Antonio will lead the line as Gianluca Scamacca has recently undergone knee surgery. The likes of Jarrod Bowen, Said Benrahma and Lucas Paquetà will retain their berth as offensive midfielders. Thomas Soucek will partner Declan Rice in the engine room, with the captain set to play his last match with the Hammers. At the back, Thilo Kehrer and Aaron Cresswell wil start out wide, while Nayef Aguerd and Kurt Zouma will be the starting CBs.Elsewhere, cup goalkeeper Alphonse Areola replaces Premier League first-choice Lukas Fabianski.

Fiorentina are an offensive minded team. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in eight of their last nine matches in all competitions but scored 16 goals in the process.

West Ham are not rock solid at the back but they are lethal on the counter-attacks. As a result we expect a high scoring game.
