Anyway, they have lost their final Premier League game of the season (1-0 at Brentford), a match played with many fringe and academy players. Should Man City get past Inter Milan in the Champions League, Pep Guardiola could lead a second club to a treble after he did it with Barcelona in 2008-09.
Inter Milan have struggled in the Serie A this season, finishing 3rd behind Napoli (by a whopping 18 points) and Lazio. Anyway, Simone Inzaghi's men confirmed they are cup specialists. After winning the Italian Super Cup in January (beating AC Milan 3-0), they also lifted the Coppa Italia by beating Fiorentina 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome a few weeks ago. After escaping a Champions League group that included Barcelona and Bayern Munich, the Nerazzurri knocked out FC Porto, Benfica and AC Milan and looked very solid at the back. They have kept five clean sheets in six games in this year's knockout stages.

Erling Haaland will spearhead the attack as usual, with Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva creating goal chances behind him. With Kyle Walker in doubt due to physical issues, the three man backline could be formed by Aymeric Laporte, Manuel Akanji and Ruben Dias.
Inter Milan (3-5-2): Onana; Bastoni, Acerbi, Darmian; Dimarco, Barella, Calhanoglu, Brozovic, Dumfries; Martinez, Dzeko
Simone Inzaghi has all the players available for the final but Milan Skriniar, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Jaoquin Correa are not 100% fit and are expected to be benched. As a result, Marcelo Brozovic is likely to start in the middle of the park, flanked by Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolò Barella. Up front, Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku are in contention to partner Lautaro Martinez, with the former Man City striker expected to feature from the off. Federico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries will start out wide while the likes of Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian and Alessandro Bastoni will protect Andre Onana's goal.

Clearly Inter Milan have nothing to lose here. They are huge underdogs and they will have less pressure compared to their rivals.
Manchester City have been in exceptional form in the late stage of the season, remaining unbeaten in 25 matches in all the competitions until the narrow loss at Brentford in the final Premier League gameday.
We expect Man City to dominate the ball possession and ultimately win the match but Inter Milan could score a goal and trouble Guardiola's backline as they are lethal on counterattacks.
