What happened in the first two fights?
The first bout ended in a controversial draw as Tyson Fury completed his return in one of the most thrilling heavyweight clashes in recent years.
The Gipsy King then dominated the one sided rematch before Wilder's corner threw in the towel in the seventh round.
Deontay Wilder utilised a clause triggering a third fight with the Gypsy King taking the short end of a 60-40 purse split. Fury had already signed a deal in March to fight Anthony Joshua before that Wilder arbitration win ruined their grand plan (there was a rematch clause).
The original trilogy fight was also postponed after the British champ and several members of his camp tested positive for Covid-19 before the slated July rematch.
Fury had no option but to postpone his fight with his fellow countryman, and he has promised to deal with Wilder quickly before finally getting it on with Joshua – and that might not even happen at all after AJ was dismantled by Oleksandr Usyk two weeks ago.
Fury vs Wilder 3: Who's the favourite?
Deontay Wilder was favorite for both of the first meetings between these two fighters. But this time Tyson Fury is a huge fav to win the third fight with all the online betting sites, although he has not fought since early 2020, when he stopped the Bronze Bomber in the seventh round.

Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 Betting Preview
Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (30-0-1) is the undefeated WBC and The Ring World heavyweight champion.
In two fights with Wilder, he has proven he’s the better man far and away each time. In the first bout Fury outboxed his opponent for much of the contest, but he was dropped twice in the final rounds.
The first encounter split draw decision was controversial but that wasn't the best version of Fury as he was coming from a long inactivity period.
The British boxer left nothing to chance in the second encounter back in February 2020, dropping the Bronze Bomber in the third and fifth rounds before stopping him in the seventh round. The Gipsy King became the first man to stop Wilder (and also the first fighter to survive two knockdowns against the Bronze Bomber).
Fury has always been a sweet mover, and his head and foot movement belies his huge 6ft 9in frame. This could be the key factor to beat Wilder again. If Tyson fury wins this weekend, his next fight would be against mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte since Anthony Joshua is expcted to trigger the rematch clause against Oleksandr Usyk.
Deontay Wilder (42-1-1) was the undefeated WBC World heavyweight champion before Fury beat him in their rematch. The dethroned champion apparently more focused and confident than ever before and pledging to adopt a different approach to the fight under the tutelage of new trainer Malik Scott.
An astonishing 41 of the 35-year-old’s 42 career victories have come by way of knockout, a record that includes 19 wins coming inside the opening round.
He is a KO artist, pure and simple. He nearly added another to his collection against Fury in their first fight, but the British boxer looked to have learnt the lesson in the second fight.
Fury vs Wilder 3 Best Bets
Ready for our Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder tips?
Both fighters will be coming off 19-month lay-offs, and Tyson Fury also contracted coronavirus twice.
Of the 19 rounds these two have had together, Wilder has realistically won three, at best. Hence, the American can only win by the way of knockout.
We can expect Wilder to try and push the initiative early, hoping to catch Fury off guard before to gas out in later rounds. Wilder’s power must be respected, Fury has already taken one of his best shots and has thrived ever since.
The Gipsy King was too dominant in his last fight to change course now, so we expect Fury winning by KO or TKO. Fury stopped Wilder in the 7th round in the last fight. The 8th and 9th round could be the right choice in the Round Betting market this time.

Earnings will depend on pay-per-view number but Fury's purse will be much smaller than the one he might have earned for that unification with Anthony Joshua (around $155million).How can Tyson Fury become the undisputed heavyweight champion?
Fury should beat Deontay Wilder on October 9 and then challenge the winner of Usyk vs Joshua rematch next year. The last man to hold the undisputed moniker was Brit Lennox Lewis back in November 1999 when he defeated Evander Holyfield in their Vegas rematch.
