Poland v Senegal betting preview
Poland come into this tournament with their attack looking razor sharpPoland won their qualifying group finishing 5 points above Denmark. They impressed in winning 8, drawing 1 and losing just 1 of their games with 28 goals scored and 14 conceded - with their star striker, Robert Lewandowski, scoring 16 times. They only failed to find the net once. That failure was a bad one though, as they were hammered 4-0 at the hands of a ruthless Denmark side. Poland have played two friendlies last March, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Nigeria and beating 3-2 South Korea. Then, they drew 2-2 against Chile on 8th June and concluded their warm-up matches with a 4-0 win over Lithuania.
Kamil Glik's injury in the build up to the tournament may forced them into fielding a back four, leaving the chance to Jan Bednarek to make the starting line-up alongside Michal Pazdan at the back. The likes of Karol Linetty and Grzegorz Krychowiak will anchor the midfield while Piotr Zielinski, Kamil Grosicki and Jakub Blaszczykowski are expected to be tucked behind the lone striker Robert Lewandowski. Napoli's Arkadiusz Milik will play in the second half should Poland need to score.
Senegal have been really struggling for form in recent timesSenegal topped their qualifying group finishing 5 points clear of Burkina Faso with Cape Verde and South Africa missing out. They have only lost one of their last five matches but have also only won once during that time. In fact, the The Lions of Taranga have draw their last three warm up matches - 1:1 and 0:0 respectively against Uzbekistan and Bosnia last March, and another goalless draw against Luxembourg at the end of May. On 8th June they were beaten 2-1 by Croatia but returned to winning ways three days later by beating 2-0 South Korea.
Senegal have a lot of English based players but all eyes will be on Sadio Manè from Liverpool. He will form a very dangerous trio behind the lone striker Diafra Sakho, alongside the likes of Ismaila Sarr and Mbaye Niang. The likes of Mame Biram Diouf, Keita Balde, and Moussa Sow provide further offensive options. Everton's Idrissa Gueye and West Ham's Chekhou Kouyate lead a strong Premier League contingent in midfield while Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly will lead the four man defense
