Manchester UTD v Juventus betting preview
Man UTD went very close to upset an unbeaten Chelsea at the weekendMan UTD have won just once since September 19 and are coming back from a severe crisis. Anyway, they have earned four points in two Champions League games so far as they beat Young Boys, while sharing the spoils with Valencia. A 3-2 win over Newcastle before the international break was followed by a 2-2 draw with unbeaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this weekend - where they only dropped two points with a last-minute equalizer from Ross Barkley. Confidence will have been restored after that good performance, although the Red Devils have failed to succeed in seven of their 12 outings across all competitions.
Jose Mourinho has suffered an injury crisis in recent weeks and several of his players were forced to sit out. He will be without the services of Marcos Rojo and Jesse Lingard here, whilst Marouane Fellaini, Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay are doubts. Fred and Juan Mata are in contention for a place in midfield, as well as Viktor Lindelof and Eric Bailly in defense. Diogo Dalot missed out the Chelsea trip with a knock and should sit on bench at maximum Up front, Alexis Sanchez is expected to feature from the off, after being benched against Chelsea. Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial should retain their starting berth.
Juventus look to build on the Group H top spot with points at Old TraffordJuventus enter this match on the back of a 1-1 home draw against Genoa in Serie A, a result that ended a ten-match winning streak in a perfect start of the campaign across competitions. Despite dropping two points, Juventus are still sitting at the top of the table and boast a four point buffer between themselves and Napoli after a superb start to the season. The Bianconeri have taken all six points possible from their two group stage matches, having outplayed the likes of Valencia and Young Boys thus far. The Turin club are yet to concede a goal in the competition and are currently top of the group.
Ronaldo was suspended last time out, but he is expected to start. Paulo Dybala has been dealing with a knee injury and was on the bench on Saturday while Douglas Costa is out of action with an ankle injury. As a result Mario Mandzukic and Federico Bernardeschi should support CR7 upfront with Juan Cuadrado a viable alternative. Former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is out as he needs tests to analyse a thyroid problem. Hence, Miralem Pjanic will be flanked again by Blaise Matuidi and Sami Khedira. No changes are expected in defense as Allegri is likely to choose Joao Cancelo and Alex Sandro as full backs, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini as centre backs.
