The hosts will be without Ashley Young, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard for this clash, while Marcos Rojo is a long-term absence. Alexis Sanchez was left out of the matchday squad entirely for the trip to the London Stadium as well as Paul Pogba. It's unclear whether Mourinho will restore them in the starting XI or not. Marcus Rashford scored off the bench last time out and should be rewarded with a start against Valencia, with Anthony Martial dropping out of the team as a result. Viktor Lindelog and Chris Smalling will be paired at the heart of the back, Luke Shaw and Antonio Valencia should be the starting full backs.
The visitors have forward Santi Mina and midfielder Ferran Torres missing. Cristiano Piccini and Rúben Vezo are in competition for a place at right-back, completing the back four with Gabriel Paulista, Jeison Murillo and Josè Gayà. Up front, Rodrigo Moreno will battle it out with Gameiro and Michy Batshuayi for a starting berth, while Gonçalo Guedes and Carlos Soler will play out wide. The likes of Geoffrey Kondogbia and Daniel Parejo are expected to start in the middle of the park.

Manchester UTD vs Valencia betting preview
Man UTD cemented this season as their worst start to a top flight since 1989/90
Man United deepened their crisis on Saturday when they were completely outplayed by West Ham at London Stadium. Prior to the 3-1 loss to the Hammers, they suffered a penalty shootout defeat to Championship side Derby County (after a thriller 2-2 draw)) saw them dumped out in the third round of the EFL Cup. As to the Champions League, Josè Mourinho's men have beaten Young Boys 0-3 in their first game and they will look to capitalise on this by boosting their points total to six in the competition.
Valencia failed to make an impact and largely struggled across competitions early on
Valencia have only bagged five points in first six league outings and have recorded their first win of the season in La Liga on Saturday. Their previous seven outings resulted in five draws and two defeat. Their European campaign started limply, with a 2-0 defeat to Juventus despite Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off. Despite their painfully slow start to the season they have only conceded eight goals, but at the other end of the pitch they’re really struggling to make an impact.
