Liverpool v Dortmund betting preview
Liverpool are ready for a closely-fought battle for the Premier League title this seasonLiverpool have already playes four club friendlies so far. The Reds started the seasonwith an emphatic 7-0 hammering of Chester before edging past local rivals Tranmere Rovers 3-2 and drawing 0-0 with Bury. Finally, Jurgen Klopp's men beat 2-0 Blackburn Rovers last Thursday. Liverpool fans can be very satisfied with the club’s dealings in the transfer market so far this summer. In the areas they lacked, the squad has been strengthened.
The Reds have reinforced their backline with the signing of Alisson but he’ll still be on holiday for this one. Other new signings as Naby Keita and Fabinho will likely play against Dortmund while Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Xherdan Shaqiri will be travelling to the US to join up with the Liverpool squad. Roberto Firmino will miss the USA pre-season trip entirely. Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Simon Mignolet and Dejan Lovren are other World Cup reduces and will miss the clash. Adam Lallana’s recent return to first-team action will be a welcome boost to Reds fans and players alike.
BVB defeated Man City 1-0 less than 48 hours agoBorussia Dortmund struggled last season and will be looking to improve upon what was a disappointing 2017/18 campaign. BVB oversaw a 1-0 win over Austria Wien in his first match in charge last week and drew against Zwickau and Los Angeles FC. In their first ICC match, Die Schwarzgelben managed to beat Manchester City 1-0, courtesy of a penalty scored by Mario Gotze. This match comes shortly after their clash with the Citizens, so fatigue could be a decisive factor.
The Bundesliga outfit didn’t have that many players taking part in the World Cup so they have taken what is a fairly strong squad for the ICC tourneè. Christian Pulisic will line up despite being heavily linked to a host of clubs
this summer, as well as Maximilian Philipp and former Chelsea player Andrè Schurrle. New signings Abdou Diallo and Marius Wolf will be part of the travelling party, as will Jadon Sancho.
