Roy Hodgson may decide to give the 4-4-2 another go meaning that Andros Townsend in expected to partner Wilfried Zaha up front. Max Meyer didn't convince in an unnatural role on the left flank and may be at risk from Jeffrey Schlupp while James McArthur should retain his starting berth on the other flank. Cheickh Kouyatè and Luka milivojevic will anchor the midfield while no changes are expected at the back. Christian Benteke and Scott Dann are both long-term absentees for the Eagles.
Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli look fit again after spells out while Mousa Dembele has now joined Jan Vertonghen and Danny Rose on the sidelines. The Belgian midfielder is unlikely to return before the New Year meaning that Eric Dier should be flanked by Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks in midfield. Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela are favourites to get the nod over the recovering duo Alli-Eriksen in the supporting roles behind the lone striker Harry Kane. Son Heung-Min provides a viable alternative. Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier are expected to start as full backs.
Tottenham (4-3-2-1): Lloris; Trippier, D.Sanchez, Alderweireld, Davies; Dier, Sissoko, Winks; Lucas, Lamela; Kane

Palace sit 14th in the table and just two points above the drop zone
Crystal Palace have failed to win any of their five fixtures on their own turf this season but managed to draw 2-2 against Arsenal in their most recent match at Selhurst Park. It was only their second point picked at Selhurst Park from a possible 15 - the worst-such return of any side in the top flight. The Eagles are without a win in their last six matches in all competitions as they are 0-2-4 since a 1-0 victory over Huddersfield Town. Furthermore, Roy Hodgson's men have failed to find the net in four of their five matches at home so far.Roy Hodgson may decide to give the 4-4-2 another go meaning that Andros Townsend in expected to partner Wilfried Zaha up front.
