Will There Be Fans in Stadiums in Premier League Boxing Day Games?
Premier League Boxing Day's fixtures will go ahead despite many coronavirus outbreaks taking place at various clubs. Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed on Tuesday that he will NOT be introducing new Covid restrictions in England until at least December 27 - unlike in Scotland where they will be limited to 500 fans.
Hence, top flight clubs will not place any restrictions on clubs to reduce their attendances, but they may have to change their stance should the government introduce restrictions on sporting events.
The announcement comes a day after Premier League teams decided to continue playing over the festive period despite the recent spike in Covid cases and although 6 matches over the past weekend were postponed.
